It's really good with playing TV shows picking up from the last one I watched.even if watched on the iPad instead of the TV last. ![]() Now, if you have to search for something to watch then that's a different story, but most of the time it's smart enough to start playing the movie or show I wanted to see. Wait until we have remotes that will start playing things just by us thinking about you tell your Echo device to "play (something) on Netflix"? I have a fireTV in the office and can get the Echo Show in the office to turn the TV on and stream anything I want without ever picking up a remote. That's the "universal" remote of the future now. Although the remote (Xi6-A) Xfinity has for their streaming box (Xfinity Flex) is almost as useless as the Apple Remote. Maybe one day the Xfinity remote will control more devices, but doubtful.more than likely they'll continue to add streaming services to their boxes and the remote will be used more for that. Alexa can start some shows on the Apple TV, but most of the time she's wanting to open them on the smart TV (Vizio) apps rather than through Apple TV. And like X1 remote (XR15) for my primary TV to watch their cable programming and switch the TV input to the Apple TV, but then have to control that from the stupid Apple remote or iPhone remote. I haven't had a Harmony remote in years, but will miss them. My in-laws have the Echo FireTV Cube connected to their TV with the Hulu Live TV package they can watch anything they get on Hulu just by asking Alexa to turn it on. I have tried many Universal Remotes and now I have 18 you tell your Echo device to "play (something) on Netflix"?
